Axiros GmbH was founded in 2002 and is based in Munich, Germany.
Axiros is pleased to present the comprehensive Axess CPE autoconfiguration management platform, which enables subscribers of providers to have their DSL router devices automatically adjusted to their personal settings, without any technical knowledge. “CPE” abbreviates Customer Premise Equipment, e.g. the subscribers DSL routers but also further equipment within the home network. Auto-configuration will significantly reduce call center expenses, facilitating a considerable increase of profit per customer.
Axiros' Axess CPE management solution allows for CPE configuration without the provider being bound to one specific CPE vendor. The TR-069 auto-configuration industry standard suite is fully supported. Technically advanced further components enrich the solution, including flexible DHCP and RADIUS services, TR-069 to legacy proxies, dynamic policy management, embedded device stacks, portal content management, client simulators but also diagnostic proxies and performance & SLA test suites.
The platform takes care of firmware management of the CPEs, including automatic firmware updates. Comprehensive information about the current status of the configuration processes is delivered to existing software environments of the operator. Furthermore branded customer portals can be deployed on the Axess server, in order to deliver a rich set of Value Added Services to the subscriber and enrich the feature set of the standalone unmanaged CPEs. The platform is also capable of supporting legacy CPEs which do not support TR-069 at all. Therefore, Axess can also support an already installed base of non TR-069 capable CPEs in many cases, to get them into the managed set. This is also ideal to have business routers or backend equipment included within the server’s efficient and concise management views.

Gunther Klessinger is the technical brain at Axiros. He started a successful development of the technological platform of the Axiros products on open standards. Thanks to his exceptional skills in combining the network and the application centric approach within one framework, Axiros captured a top position in the network service management software sector.
Before his activities at Axiros he was responsible for carrier grade Broadband Service Selection Solutions at Siemens AG in Munich. His fields of work included software quality, development and design. Thanks to his product innovations, his team was accepted in the former Siemens incubator. Gunther Klessinger holds a degree with honors in Physics at the University of Regensburg.

At the foundation, Thomas Sternagel took over the position of Managing Director. With his expertise, the start-up reached the profitability zone. In 2004, he took over the position of VP Finance & Legal. He takes further responsibility for the ongoing business operations and business development.
Kurt Peterhans
Management
Kurt Peterhans has over 14 years management experience in IT Professional Service. While working for companies like Microsoft, Lucent, Vodafone and I.N.S. International Network Services he was heading up national and international projects as a Managing Consultant. In 2003 he joined o2 Germany GmbH as a Senior Process Manager, responsible for IT Operations Change Management . His core compentencies include IT operations management, project management, process design and organization optimization. He joined Axiros in 2008 as Head of Project Management.
Kurt Peterhans is a graduate engineer in computer science and absolved a post-graduate study in process design and -management.
