About The Role:
Axiros is seeking a hands-on DevOps Software Engineer to join our growing North America team in Plano, TX. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, networking, and telecom systems, supporting mission-critical broadband and device management platforms used by global service providers. You will work in a small, collaborative team where your technical depth and ownership directly impact system reliability, scalability, and performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Build, deploy, and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure

• Deploy and maintain ACS/device management platforms in ISP and telecommunications environments

• Manage containerized environments (Docker) and virtual machines

• Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation

• Optimize database performance and system scalability

• Assist with platform integrations and operational tooling

• Support networking components, including routers and load balancers

• Troubleshoot production environments in ISP and telecom ecosystem

Required Experience:

• Experience with modern database technologies such as relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, and DHCP

• Experience managing and integrating network devices using Broadband Forum protocols such as TR-069 and TR-369

• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and integrations

• Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation

• Strong familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development

• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems, including administration and troubleshooting

• Experience performing network-level debugging, including packet capture analysis (e.g., tcpdump, Wireshark)

• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments

• Experience managing virtualized infrastructure such as VMware or KVM

• Experience deploying or operating workloads on cloud platforms (AWS and/or Google Cloud)
  

Nice to have:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform

• Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms

• Knowledge of DOCSIS and/or FTTH broadband architectures

• Experience working with CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) environments

• Familiarity with telecommunications OSS/BSS systems

• Prior experience working in the ISP or telecommunications industry

Compensation (Dallas/Plano Market)
The expected base salary range for this role in the Dallas–Plano market is $115,000 – $150,000 annually. Final compensation will depend on experience, depth of telecom expertise, and DevOps experience level. Benefits and a retirement plan are provided.

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and programming in Python

• Several years of experience with container-based application development (e.g., Docker)

• Extensive experience working with Linux (e.g., Debian)

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform

• Developing IOS applications

Your responsibilities:

• Analize, design, implement and deliver a custom device management solution that meets customer requirements

• Work directly with customers' engineering team, understand their technical requirements and collaborate with internal product development teams

• Developing quality, testable requirements, design, interface specification, custom code and documentation

Profile / Hard Skills:

• At least 2 years experience in software technical role, working in deployment services

• Strong working knowledge of:

  • Linux operating system and familiarity with command-line tools

  • TCP/IP networking suite and abstract layers; ability to diagnose basic network issues

  • SQL database, able to perform simple SQL queries or set fields

  • Web services, XML, SOAP, JSON data formats
