Axiros’ AX USP Controller 3.4.0 is Now Available
November 26, 2025 - MUNICH, GERMANY - Telecommunications software leader Axiros today announced the release of version 3.4.0 of the AX USP Controller (and associated tools).
AX USP Controller is a high-performance, memory-safe solution designed to manage millions of concurrent USP (User Services Platform) Agents via WebSocket or MQTT. It is fully compliant with the latest broadband-forum standards and offers service providers and equipment manufacturers the scalability, flexibility and reliability required for modern device-management at scale. With version 3.4.0, Axiros continues to empower network operators and device-ecosystem integrators with even stronger operational insights and greater robustness.
With this release, Axiros delivers important enhancements focused on connection-handshake robustness, reconnection behaviour, and strengthened monitoring capabilities:
New benchmarks in the load tool: To stress-test and validate the Controller’s performance and behaviour during connection handshakes and reconnections, we’ve added new benchmarking scenarios that simulate realistic, high-volume connection cycles.
Improved reconnection handling: Insights gained from the new benchmarks have allowed us to refine the reconnection logic, making the Controller more resilient under load, and more predictable when agents disconnect and reconnect.
Expanded historical counters: In addition to the existing gauge-style counter that tracks the number of currently connected Agents, we now provide two new cumulative counters: one for the historical number of established TCP connections, and one for performed TLS handshakes. These counters give operators full visibility into overall connection lifecycle activity, not just the current snapshot.
