Axiros Recognized by ITU for Outstanding Contribution to Global Telecommunications Workshop
August 06, 2025 - MUNICH, GERMANY - Axiros, a global leader in device management and provisioning solutions, proudly announces its formal recognition by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for its significant contribution to the ITU Africa Workshop on “Telecommunication Service Quality,” held in Freetown, Sierra Leone, from July 1–2, 2025.
The workshop, which brought together regulators and operators from 22 countries across Africa, focused on regional strategies to enhance Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) for telecom users. Axiros was honored to participate in this high-level event, offering technical expertise and real-world insights.
Showcasing Real-World Impact
Representing Axiros, Mr. Ayoub El Haddouj, Account Manager at Axiros led discussions on end-user experience monitoring, presenting the company’s scalable QoS/QoE model deployed in Brazil. His session highlighted the use of ITU-T P.1203, a globally recognized standard for measuring video playback quality, and demonstrated how standardized metrics can be effectively applied to improve video services across a wide range of network environments.
“Your leadership as well as the knowledge and insights you shared with the audience played a great part in the successful outcomes of the Workshop,” said Mr. Seizo Onoe, Director of the ITU’s Telecommunication Standardization Bureau, in a formal letter of appreciation addressed to Mr. El Haddouj. “Excellent feedback was received from participants.”
Spotlight on Axiros QoS Measurement Solutions
As part of its contribution, Axiros showcased its comprehensive QoS/QoE measurement solution, combining key components from its portfolio — including AXTRACT, a centralized analytics and orchestration platform, and the AX MOBILITY SDK for mobile environments. The solution leverages a dormant agent file integrated into CPEs, which activates measurement routines based on Broadband Forum TR-143 standards. This agent operates silently in the background, enabling large-scale testing without interrupting user experience. The result is a scalable, transparent, and standards-based system for evaluating user experience across fixed and mobile networks — empowering better regulatory oversight and improved service delivery.
